Privacy Notice
How WebGrid handles personal data for webgrid.com under GDPR and Norwegian law.
This notice explains what data we process, why we process it, and what rights you have.
1. Data Controller
WebGrid is the data controller for personal data processed through webgrid.com unless another controller is explicitly identified.
2. Data We Process
We may process account information such as email address and login credentials, usage information such as activity logs and technical diagnostics, billing records, and project content you create in WebGrid.
Project content can include product decisions, requirement notes, selected specs, custom entries, contact messages, and other information you submit through the service.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, save projects, support customers, manage billing, improve the product, and communicate operational updates.
Our legal bases may include contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests, and consent where consent is required.
4. Project Content
Project content can contain personal data or business-sensitive information. We process that content to host, render, sync, secure, and back up your workspace and to operate product features you request.
We may restrict or remove content where necessary for legal compliance, abuse prevention, security, or platform integrity.
5. Sharing and Processors
We may share personal data with service providers that help us host, secure, support, analyze, and operate WebGrid under appropriate contractual safeguards.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the service.
6. International Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. Storage and Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and protect the platform.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including Datatilsynet in Norway.
9. Important Safeguard: Generated Outputs May Contain Errors
If personal data appears in generated summaries, specifications, or recommendations, those outputs may still contain errors, omissions, or unintended content.
You are responsible for reviewing generated outputs before using, publishing, sharing, or relying on them.
10. Security and Updates
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to risk, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this notice from time to time, and the latest version will be published on this page.
